Day 91 - Out on the Battlefield

Day91_Out on the Battlefield

This was a really fun design I created. I got my inspiration from this design created by Ayer. I never talked about this, but I've always followed the Desktop HD artboard with dimensions 1440x1024. However, many design inspirations that I have came across didn't follow the dimensions I used. So, many of my designs are actually not a replicate of the original. The placement of the content are different compared to the original.

I started off by creating the content on the left bar. I made sure everything was evenly spaced and consistent. Instead of using the same name, I decided to go with "gameslive."

yTo be honest, there was nothing hard with this design. The only way to make it look good was to make sure it was easy to read by users, so spacing was key, especially with line. Also with the bolded words, instead of only bolding it, there was an option of "Black" for font Lato. In this font, the weight goes from Hairline to Black, with 9 different weights in between. Black is even bolder than Bold.

I wouldn't say I didn't learn anything from this design, because I found out that I'm getting better at developing user interfaces. I don't find anything super hard anymore, unless it goes out of Sketch's tools. As long as I have a direction of how to create things and know which tools to use for each part, it's actually not that bad.
